Dylan and the Mystery of the Black Pig

As you know, Dylan loves a black latex pig. He flings them around to his hearts content...or at least until he manages to chew out the squeaker. Working at my desk yesterday, I saw the little fluffy terrier head appear outside and start barking and whining- took me a while to realise that he'd spotted my black piggy bank sitting on the window ledge.

To Dylan this has become a source of great confusion - why has the black squeaky pig turned to stone? Only one way to find out.....

Investigations begin

Then ...... he pounces!

Further investigations....

"Just one more go - if I slobber all over it will it turn back to squishy latex?"

"Nope - oh forget it. I'm off to search for treats instead!"

"All in a days work...."

Dylan Uncut....

Well it's more 'cut' actually!

A whole day in Hampshire - coat stripping for the afternoon with super Welsh Terrier Specialist Joan then a visit to his mum and 'first family'. Joan 'the stripper' said Dylan was 'magnificent' - she knows her stuff so that's high praise and we were rather chuffed... I think Dylan already believed he was magnificent anyway - now he has confirmation there is going to be no living with him.

After an afternoon at Joan's we then collected the 'suddenly skinny' fella and drove off to see the 'first family' for a fantastic run around with the 2 dogs followed by an amazing curry! Thanks to Julie, Gordon, Jess and Callum for giving Dylan the opportunity to rough and tumble with his mum and explore his first home again - he's been exhausted ever since!

Here's some pictures...

Dylan takes a break from his 'Urban Urchin' look to become a 'Lean Mean Rabbiting Machine'. It's SO this season...

Spot the ball - it's all a blur...

Half time break

Dylan collapsed on the kitchen floor later that evening ...couldn't even make it to his crate

And now for the movies...

Dylan goes Doodley

Dylan had his first full day at Doodley Dogs daycare this week - a whole day with a huge pack of dogs to frolic with. I gather he spent most of the day chasing around after his favourite hound. Dylan is very loyal....and determined.

He bounded out to greet us at the end of the day then tried desperately to bound back in again - I think that means he likes it!

The next 48 hours looked like this:

We're not used to such quiet ! But could get used to it...

Welsh Terrier at the Moulin Rouge

We've been hard at work setting up our new TV and getting the sound working properly. Dylan's not a great TV watcher usually... preferring in these circumstances to run around, eat shoes, bite polystyrene and cause general havoc while our backs are turned. He sometimes sits down to watch a bit of 'dog whisperer' or 'it's me or the dog ' of course. Today was different ...
As I put a DVD of Moulin Rouge on to test the TV Dylan came belting over and listened intently at the front speaker. I think he might have a crush on Nicola Kidman.
